Zoology is the science that study the animals, supported by many others sciences: biology, ecology, physiology, morphology and animal behaviour. This subject was imparted in the first semester, the coordinator teacher was Pedro Cattan, but most of the classes were ran by other specialists. The classes were exactly what everyone expected: learning about animals, their respective taxonomy, the order of clasification according to the phylum we were learning about, their characteristics, etc. We have seen almost every phylum of the animalia kingdom, platyhelminthes, hemichordata, annelida, nematoda, arthropoda, mollusca, chordata. Also, inside those phylums, we found the smaller categories, like mammalia, crustacea, hexapoda, cephalocordata, vertebrata, among others.  We had activities in laboratory too, dissecting animals to see their physiology, moving what we learned in classes to the practice. My parents bought me my first computer when I was five. It was the typical old computer, always connected to the electricity, with a big and cubic monitor, and very low at downloading or uploading. But it was the first one, which put me on that "world", in other words. I like this object, because it's very versatile, it's used to search information, investigate, play games, watch videos, technically whatever you want. Now I have a notebook, and I use it to play many video games, watch any kind of video, to study, or simply to pass the time.  I think everybody have to have a computer, cellphone or tablet, at present time. It's necessary now to be connected with everyone, or to search anything you need.

Meerkats The meerkats are carnivorous mammals from the south of Africa. They like me a lot because they have a developed social organization, where everyone has a place, and a work to do to keep the clan safe of predators and any other danger. Even they can look very cute, they´re very ferocious at the moment they have to defend their territory. So... don't mess up with them! Penguins Penguins are non-flying birds from the Antarctica, "at the bottom" of the world. As time goes by, their wings adapted into something similar to fins, like fishes, to dive in the icy waters of the Antarctica; and their plumage has adapted too, after years of evolution, it's now similar to the coat of the mammals! Hello everyone, today I would like to tell you about of one of my favorites countries, a place that I wish to visit, even a place that I would like to live at! That country is England, situated in the Europe's continent. I like everything about England, his culture, customs, people and history. I like its geographic location to live, it's a part of an island, so it's surrounded by water, and i love to swim, so it would have many places to. Also, the architecture that fill his cities, is just beautiful. Don't forget about the museums! They have a lot of interesting historical pieces that I would like to see. I would like to go to England to study, in first place. Thinking about a distant future, I would like to live at England, looks like a nice place, safe and peaceful. I hope that someday I can travel to England, and keep learning about all its history and customs.

What is your opinion about women in the military? I think it's necessary to make a real equality, men are always recluted at eighteen, even they don't want to enter to the militar service, they have to go and give a reason to not enter(like studies, medical conditions, etc), but women aren't even recluted, they can go with all freedoom to the recruitment canton if they want to join. And also about this topic, women are necessary as much as men in the armed forces, you can't ban an entire gender to do something that it can do the same as the other just for few unjustified prejudices. What is your opinion about violence on television? The violence in television is not bad, it's used like all the media content as a vehicle to show different realities, it's neccesary if the story that you want to tell has violence to make it better or faithful to the reality. We don't have to prohibit it, we only have to regulate the public it's guided to.

Tomás Contreras Quiroz was born in Santiago, Chile. He studied at Liceo Ruiz Tagle, located  in Estación Central, completing his elementary and high school on this institution. He started his university studies at Universidad de Chile this current year(2018), studying specifically the career of Veterinary Medicine. The first semester was very difficult and exhausting for him, but he could pass it without failing in any of his subjects. Tomás has a regular family compounded by five members. His father, Alfonso Contreras; his mother, Paola Quiroz; and his two twin sisters, Trinidad and Magdalena Contreras.
