Zoology, my favorite subject
Zoology is the science that study the animals, supported by many others sciences: biology, ecology, physiology, morphology and animal behaviour. This subject was imparted in the first semester, the coordinator teacher was Pedro Cattan, but most of the classes were ran by other specialists. The classes were exactly what everyone expected: learning about animals, their respective taxonomy, the order of clasification according to the phylum we were learning about, their characteristics, etc. We have seen almost every phylum of the animalia kingdom, platyhelminthes, hemichordata, annelida, nematoda, arthropoda, mollusca, chordata. Also, inside those phylums, we found the smaller categories, like mammalia, crustacea, hexapoda, cephalocordata, vertebrata, among others. We had activities in laboratory too, dissecting animals to see their physiology, moving what we learned in classes to the practice.
